Connecting my two rainwater tanks

Finally got my two rain tanks joined up. I had one on each side of the house, but only really needed/wanted it on one side. So the challenge was to join them up from a single source – the patio roof and have as little piping connecting the two. Tank A maintains the inlet & overflow, with the connecting pipes at the base maintaining an equilibrium between the two. Now I have about 5,000 litres of water!

Making a stained glass

 My daughter had a school project to do a stained glass piece. This is how we did it: Got a piece of Perspex from Bunnings. Bought enamel surface conditioner and used fabric paint to make the thick black outline. Got these from Riot Art in QV.    Next, we used an outline of a picture, placed it below the glass and  traced the lines.   Paint flood filling to be continued…

Building a deck

This had to be one of the most rewarding physical things I’ve ever built. It was near perfect, far better than I had imagined. Then again I did my research well…thanks YouTube!   First up I cut editing into the lawn, using treated pine and ground stakes.
