First attempt at photographing Mars

It’s been about 3 weeks since we’ve had clear skies in Melbourne and I tried to make the most of it. Here is my first attempt at Mars, which I’m told reaches opposition tomorrow, and is the closest for 11 years. This was taken with 3X1000 frames video using RGB filters, stacked in Autostakkert with the top 25 frames. I then used Photoshop to merge the RGB into a single image – my first attempt at that too. Connecting my two rainwater tanks

Finally got my two rain tanks joined up. I had one on each side of the house, but only really needed/wanted it on one side. So the challenge was to join them up from a single source – the patio roof and have as little piping connecting the two. Tank A maintains the inlet & overflow, with the connecting pipes at the base maintaining an equilibrium between the two. Now I have about 5,000 litres of water!

Fantasy Soccer on Github and Fixed up

I had a few hours this evening after work to fix up an old app I created in 2006. That makes it 9 years old! It’s a fantasy soccer game modeled off the world cup. Players select a team of 11 for each round, and points are awarded based on the configured rules.
